Bears

This past week we attended the International Sportsman's Show at the South Towne Expo Center. We had a good time seeing the booths and everything. Unfortunately Alaska trips are not discounted like we thought they would be. But it is fun to see everything. The Yellowstone Bear World has a booth with live bear cubs and they let you hold one and take pictures; so we did. Angela didn't quite know what to do with the cubs and wouldn't touch them. We even saw some fabulous mounts of bears and she wouldn't touch those either. She would wave and say "hi" to them as we would pass. She recognized the moose right off and would say "hi moose"; and make bear sounds as we would pass them.

Tubing

Last weekend we had a great time at Soldier Hollow tubing. This isn't your normal tubing in the mountains where you have to hike up a hill then slide down just to hike it again. This one is hi-tech. The inter-tube it hooked to a tow rope that pulls it up the hill while you just hang out in it, then you slide down the hill and do it all over again. Pretty fun. Angela likes the snow but didn't know quite what to do about the big hill. We started her out on the little hill then we moved up to the big one. It is quite fast, with no control over what or where you go. Angela's snow suit is like the kid in "A Christmas Story." when she falls -she can't get up - it is hilarious.

Daddy's Birthday

A couple weeks ago was Daddy's birthday. Mom arranged to go into work late and we surprised Dad at work. We stopped and picked up some donuts and balloons, then took them to his office. It was a fun surprise. Angela wore her squeaky shoes and was adorable. She had fun surprising Dad, and we think he had a good time being surprised. We were amazed at how much she loved the balloons and played with them for days. The mylars are still in the basement waiting for her every day.
not really grumpy - just laughing and playing with the balloons.

Driving Home

The drive home was much like the drive down... only quieter. Angela didn't even stir when we got her up and put her in her car seat. She slept all the way to Las Vegas, then we played to St. George where we filled up the car with gas, and got some lunch. Then we piled back in the car and finished the drive home. Most of which Angela slept - she was exhausted. Both coming and going we made only one stop in St. George. Angela is an amazing traveler. We had such a fun trip.

More Disney Day 2

Here are some more pictures on day 2. There is a video clip of her on the merry-go-round in California Adventure. She really put on a show for Dad every time we came around to see him. Then she loved the tea cups. We couldn't go too fast because she would start to slide all over the place. Then the water park, her happy place.

Disneyland Day 2

Day 2 was just as much fun as day 1, maybe more fun, more packed. We did the water park again, and of course the merry-go-'round. We also did Toy Story. When Angela figured out it was better to keep the 3-D glasses on she liked the ride more (it's blurry without the glasses). She was so exhausted that when she finally took her nap - it was for 3 hours, in her stroller!! When she woke up, she was ready to go again.

Disneyland Day 1

We had such a good time at Disneyland. Angela had so much fun with her cousins and all the new things to explore. We cold hardly keep her off the Merry-go-round. She absolutely loved it. We'd get off, and she'd find a way to let us know it was time to get back on - it was good there wasn't a line. California Adventure has a great water park. With the days in the 80's we let her run and get all wet. We spent a good hour there and she didn't want to leave. We tried on sun glasses, but they were too big, and played in line.
