Swimming

After the hair cut Angela did her first swimming. Lorena cleaned out Osa's pool and filled it with fresh, from the hose, water - which meant it was freezing cold. Noah and Layla came with Kristie and swam with her. We hooked up the sprinkler and did some swimming. At first Angela didn't want to sit in the pool - too cold - but Noah was fabulous with her and Layla shared her floaty. We all had a great time.. now it's time for the big warm pool.

First Hair Cut

Last Thursday Angela’s aunt Kristie came over to give her first hair cut. She doesn’t like to have barrettes or bows in her hair and her bangs kept getting in her eyes. But now, she can see clearly, and everyone can see her gorgeous brown eyes. Thank you Kristie! Lorena still tries to put bows in her hair, sometimes they last, sometimes they don’t. Typically they don’t last when she is sitting in her car seat looking for something to do because she through all her toys to the floor.

Yellowstone - Part 2

Our trip to Yellowstone didn't only consists of firsts (of course it was all firsts for Angela). We saw the Lower Falls, the Madison River (Blake's favorite) and of course had to get a picture with the sign. We could not believe how crowded it was. The National Park Assoc. has reported that Yellowstone has seen record attendance in June - and we were part of it - yeah. There were people everywhere!!

Yellowstone Firsts

Earlier in the month we had a fabulous trip to Yellowstone. We have a kids backpack that Blake carried Angela around in all day - she LOVED it! She would wave and jabber with people, a real socialite. Our concerns were unfounded because she seemed to have a fabulous time in the backpack. We did all the firsts for her, first elk picture, first with bison, Old Faithful and hiked Mammoth.

4th of July

We were nervous about Angela and fireworks with the loud bangs but she did really well. We spent it with her cousins lighting fireworks in their street circle with the neighbors. She liked to watch the fireworks and all the kids running around. We all had a great time. No worries, all photos were a safe distance from the fountains. Angela fell asleep during the fireworks so bedtime was way easy.

Angela's first fish

This past Friday we went to the family property and did some hiking. We love the cool stroller and how easy it is to hike with, it takes rocks easily. Angela also got her first fish... well really it was her fourth fish by the time we could get a picture taken. Some of her cousins were there and she really likes to watch them run around and play. She is anxious for when she can join them. Angela likes being outside with all the colors and sounds.

Don't have a Cow

Every year we typically take a trip to California to visit Lorena's family and see Mickey Mouse at Disneyland. In California Adventure they use to have this game on the boardwalk where you toss a softball into a milk can. The prizes were these giant farm animals and Lorena had to have one - well, she got 2 cows, 2 pigs, and 1 duck. Why? Because Blake got incredibly good at it. At one point he got it on the first ball, and the second and third. But then they pointed out that you can only win once per day - bummer. We brought one of the cows upstairs and Angela loves it. We must admit, it makes a great pillow too.
